Home Loan Repayments
Whether buying a home or refinancing, you can use this repayment calculator to calculate your approximate home loan repayments. The calculated repayment amount will update automatically using the information you enter.

How to work out your repayments
What interest rate should I use?
Use the current interest rate for the loan you’re considering, or your existing loan’s rate. Try higher rates too, to see how repayments could change. The results are estimates; I’ll help you understand what applies to your circumstances. MoneySmart explains calculator estimates and assumptions.
What loan term should I use?
Use the proposed loan term, or the remaining term of your existing loan. A shorter term generally means higher repayments and less interest overall. A longer term generally reduces repayments but increases total interest. Available terms depend on the lender and your circumstances. MoneySmart explains this trade-off.
Is it better to pay weekly, fortnightly or monthly?
Choose a frequency that suits your pay cycle and household cash flow, subject to the lender’s options. I’ll help you understand the repayment amounts and timing before deciding what suits you.
Loan Fee
Enter the loan’s ongoing fee and select the correct frequency. Other costs, such as establishment fees or costs when leaving an existing loan, may also apply. I’ll help you review the overall costs alongside the repayment estimate.
